the best

this will be really short cuz i've gotta go - a longer one is hopefully in the works, as is the link to the pictures we just uploaded.

i am a girl who uses her hands. whether they be typing or massaging or signing, i make use of all ten digits attached to the things at the ends of my arms. as such, i am a little frustrated when one of the ten is struck down and i'm left with only nine that function.

i broke my finger. as it goes, it's a relatively unimportant finger, not a thumb or index, merely the middle one on the left nondominant hand, but now it looks like i'm walking around giving the world the bird with the big white bandage keeping that impolite finger straight.

in any case, it hurt a lot. details will follow, but i wanted to pop on here and give you all that news as well as thank you thank you thank you to those who wrote back your supportive wonderful comments. i wrote my last entry in somewhat of a funk and words like those help to snap me out at times like that. truth is, i'm still having a great time and the destructive thoughts battle their way in less often than it may have seemed. but thank you. you're the best.

we're in capetown, headed back to jo'burg tomorrow for the music fest. we're staying with great people, been doing more great things... can't write now. sorry. finger and watch prohibit it.

much love,
amy

Glad you're feeling up and happier, even if you keep giving the world the bird. You are wonderful and more resilient than you know Love, Barbara

Amy,

Can't wait to see YOU again (pre-travel, post-travel, whatever) you. Glad you're feeling better (a childlike cry can do wonders), but sorry to hear about your finger. Wha' happened?

I so enjoy reading about all your adventures - "I laughed, I cried" I'm in constant awe of everything you're doing. Have a fabulous time on the next. Can't wait to hear all about it!

Peace and happiness,

Mandy :)
