off into the dry red west. north. north-west.
so here we are.
we're leaving today to go into (or towards, anyway) namibia. our capetown stay this time has been quite relaxed and full of errands. Gathering what we think we might possibly need for our quartet camping around namibia, tooling around in our powder blue corolla for the next 2 1/2 weeks.
i don't know what the internet situation will look like in that huge country up there, but i'm not expecting great things. so i'll probably get to write from swakopmund (somewhere in the middle on the coast) and possibly windhoek (the capital. if we stop there). wish i could write every day, really, with the amount of thoughts running through my little head these days.
in any case, i'm off to pack the car, but the general status is quite well, if all just a bit nervous to enter the unknown with just our tents and camping stoves in the boot. Everything we've heard about the place, though (and we've heard a fair bit - though one guy slipped and called it South West Africa), sounds absolutely unbelievably wonderful and unique. so into the desert we go!
btw, Tammy and Kelly are well as well. We're just all adjusting to making decisions together and we keep accidentally skipping meals in the process. unacceptable. but we're working on it and we are usually laughing, so that's a good sign.
ok! love,
amy

Have a super time, love, and get those meals under control, for goodness sake! But please keep laughing. Regards to Tammy and Kelly. I hope we get to meet them some day.
Love, mom
No, Matt, noone else has pointed that out, but I'm really glad you did! And somehow not at all surprised it was you.
Trudi (Ami's mom)
