Really enjoyed the photos. The food......do you two know how to cook ALL THAT? Looks delicious. In the "helmet head" photo, you look very much like your mom to me....(not the helmet..your face and your expression). (your mom is beautiful and that is definitely a compliment!!!!). Seems like you two have experienced so much in a little over six months that most of the world will not experience in a lifetime....really wonderful. Glad you are having fun and learning lots and staying well. I continue to read both of your blogs regularly, so as not to miss a moment of your wonderful adventure. Keep writing!! Hugs, Elaine
Hi all, mom speaking: To Heidi and anyone else who had trouble getting the photos, (I also couln't get to them), go onto Nabia's blog, and get them from there: www.livejournal.com/users/wandering_nabia
Amy, the pictures are unbelievable. (from Nabia's website, as I hope you know). I feel like I'm looking at National Geographic sometimes! The ones of the people you saw on the trek are really excellent. The men look so old and "wizened", but they could be much younger than they look. And those dishes!! What wonderful combinations and colors...the vegetables look soo fresh and yummy. I can't wait for you to cook for me! I STILL can't believe you're doing all this. WHO ARE YOU, AND HOW CAN I BE YOUR MOM?? Truly phenomenal. Continue enjoying your adventures.... Love mom PS to Elaine- Thanks for the compliment!!! But you might be needing glasses.
To "Mrs. Greenwood" from Elaine... I wear trifocals & can't see without them, but I had them on and saw perfectly well, thank you! And I MEANT what I said!!!! xox..E.
Hello! Your photos rock. I miss you so much, I had to call Matt instead of you, and then he got offended. You must cook for me when you get back! I liked your culinary school outfit (way cooler than mine). Also, when you get back, I'm taking you to Queens for Thai food (as now you can tell me what to order). Love, Em
Playing blog catch up today (it's Friday, it's hot, I don't feel like working). It continues to be fascinating. I feel like I'm there, I want to be there, I NEED curry :) Happy 6 months (and a few days)...wow! Anyway, just a quick hello. Best to Nabia. Be well.
